  3. TED talks. But not just any TED talks, check out this one on genius or this one on insight. Oh, and this spreadsheet lists every single TED talk ever. Bee tea dubs.

  4. 36 Writing Tips from Chuck Palahniuk. This is frickin’ amazing, with tips on everything from how to evoke a sympathetic physical sensation from the reader (p. 25) to why you should read your work out loud (p. 49). Don’t read all 160 pages, just click on the topic you want in the Table of Contents.

  5. Meditate. Here’s an eight-minute meditation exercise that features the most relaxing song ever. Or just listen to the song here.

  6. Do something good for someone else, like donating to Kiva, or buying In ‘n Out for someone you don’t know.
